United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Santorini Black

An Electric handbrake with a nice centre armrest would be nice. decent seat adjustment with an adjustable seat base, why can't the sat nav remember what is was set to when you switch off, why do you have to re set it everytime you start up. More storage spaces for bits and pieces in the boot. 5yrs warranty and servicing packeges like BMW or VW.

Australia 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Fuji White

1. Extra 100mm length in rear cargo area. (currently rear space a bit limited)

2. Side hinged rear door with spare wheel mounted on outside. (more usable as current top hinged door might look better to some but really just not as practical as side hinged. Also spare wheel on outside frees up more internal space)

3. Cleaner bonnet lines from drivers view to improve vehicle positioning at low speed and parking.

4. Better roof rails. (seem much too high and out of proportion to vehicle size)

5. Update required for radio and cockpit display.

Otherwise good.

A decent audio display tied in with the sat nav.
mute button on the wheel,
a more comprehensive trip computer.
Higher air intake.

It's okay, I think that they dealt with the designer of the electric handbrake earlier....

One of my boys as a new Astra as a hire car whilst waiting for a company car to come, it has a electric handbrake, twice it has released itself, this is his second hire Astra in six weeks, the first one, the handbrake failed to operate the day after he got it.

probably been said before but heres my ideas..

keep it a bit rugged
make it slightly bigger
a bigger more powerful engine (while still keeping it out of the disco tax band!)
up rate the mechanicals , eg clutch & diff.
make more off road accessories available!

either that or fit the FL2 interior to a defender 110 so i can use it as a family car too!! (i know it wont fit before someone shouts at me!) Smile

England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

Apparently side opening doors fell fould of USA rules and regulations.

Electronic parking brakes are in my opinion a PITA and not having one is one of the reasons the Freelander 2 is the most reliable LR.

Air intake is high enough.

Two cup holders in front of the gearstick. I've drove the latest 5 series a number of times and it has the best location for cup holders of any car I've driven.
