You could always opt for aftermarket window tinting film,

I know the factory fit is better as the glass itself is tinted, but they can great aftermarket film nowadays and they nothing beween looking at them, apart from the heating elements on the glass are a different colour

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

Spoke to my dealer today, still no delivery date (end March-early April), but my car is moving down the line and he wanted my insurance cover note to run from 31 March so they can apply for RFL. So, sounds fairly promising. Smile

I've seen Qs about centre arm rest (or lack of) and looked at the 'box' type on the net - which looks okay but no mention of price? I much prefer the seat mounted ones and when I had a FL1 I got adjustable armrests fitted by a Trimmer in Redditch which were superb and fully matched the interior trim. Does anybody know whether the FL2 front seats already carry mounting points for centre armrests, even though you cannot specify them?

I can't find details of my Redditch Trimmer anymore either, so does anybody know who does that sort of work these days?

Looks like commando has partially answered my armrest query - I should have read more topics before asking.

I do have one part of my new car - the HANDBOOK! My dealer let me have one and I've read it front to back, which I gather is quite rare. An article in AutoExpress about LR Handbook preparation suggested that most people never opened them. Was GS TD4 Auto, Privacy, Santorini with Tundra & Alpaca, Cold Climate Pack. Traded for Discovery Sport HSE Auto.

True but if it means we cant afford caravans then thats a good thing Laughing

My Mrs didnt stop at the nursery, I had to decorate the dining room so she can use it as a 'day room' Confused , then do up a spare bedroom for when guests come to see the baby Wink
I'm thinking of soundproofing the office so it can be my tranquil hideaway.

Mrs George is due June 11 whens yours booked for?

Yesterday dealer said delivery date end March-early April, today it's built and in a holding compound at Halewood and dealer may receive it tomorrow. Holding factor, because of bank-holiday, is my movement of money. Why it takes 3 working days when it's only pushing buttons on a screen beats me. Still, I should be a happy bunny next Thursday ..... if all goes to plan. Was GS TD4 Auto, Privacy, Santorini with Tundra & Alpaca, Cold Climate Pack. Traded for Discovery Sport HSE Auto.
