I think the clutch plate parts are 200 quid then its labour cost. Lot of posts on here about dmf's causing slipping. |

When mine was replaced under warranty I was told that the bill would have beed around £1200 A Land Rover owner since 1988

How big a job is it? I know the clutch parts are 200 quid or so, do the dealers really charge a 1000 quid in labour? Or am i missing something? |

Its about 6.5 hours labour to replace clutch plate, pressure plate, release bearing and Duel mass flywheel. All the parts come to arround £700 so your looking at £1200 to £1300 all in.

I recall on another thread there was an independent garage who could do it for half the dealer price. The DMF was not being replaced as they considered it unnecessary.
