Hello alll,

I just paid my first Freelander 2 SE Izmir Blue and hope to have it by next Thursday. Can't wait.
Before I bought it I think I saw every road test and vs and looked on all forums. After I spent some good hours on this one I made a drive test and dicided that I have to get one. After these two easy steps I managed to convince my wife and my wallet.

Hello npinks

Just got her yesterday. No need to say how beautifull she is (tinted windows, cold pack, Bi-Xenon headlamps).
The wife was not difficult to convince - just had to put side steps. She does not drive Very Happy
Thanks for your message

Hello Simmo,

Thanks for your welcome.
Can hardly wait to drive her over the week-end.
As did not come with PTI I have to go back to the dealer in abt 2 weeks to get one mounted.
I did not expect her to handle quite so nicely. It's great

Hi All

Quick post to say hello, I have been lurking for a month or so now since I was thinking about buying a Freelander 2. If I do my car will be used for loads of business miles, and my weekend trip to a local field where I indulge my passion of flying radio controlled helicopters.

I have had a very chequered car history, the closest I have come to a Land Rover is an X3 a couple of year back, but this is just one German car in a long line of very disappointing German cars. My brother is a Land Rover man, and had been for a long time. My two car highlights where a brand new Lotus Exige S1, and a Caterham 7 HPC which I used on the track regularly. I have built kit cars, and performed scary modifications to cars, not just chip / exhaust stuff, but this is out of my system now.

I look forward to chatting with fellow owners here, and hope the pleasant community spirit I currently see here continues.

Chris.

why should I laugh when I have a piccoZ as well Thumbs Up and they bring more people into the hobby than you might expect. Crash cost as not as bad as you might expect, I have crashed twice in three years, at a rought cost of £100 per crash, most of which is carbon fiber blades, but if you hit your telly then it would end that as well Wink cos the blade tips touch 450 mph Shocked

Welcome ChrisC,

I am new myself but thought you might be interested to know that even German car reviews say that the Freelander 2 is better than the BMW X 3.

Hello one and all!

I recently changed my status from "prospective owner" to "actual owner", and this definitely puts me in a better position to contribute to this forum

England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue
Hello.

Hi all.

Been browsing this site for a while and it has helped me finalise my options choices (I think!).

Gone for a Baltic blue XS with Alpaca leather pack and 18" upgrage. ( might add privacy!!.....got 3 weeks to decide!)

Went for a XS instead of GS purely for extra speakers and option of bigger wheels ( sad but i need my bling and sounds!!!)

Managed to wangle 10.2% off by playing three dealers against each other (still left with a feeling I could have got more, although Dealer crying into a hankie suggested otherwise!! Laughing )

Car is due end of March but possibly earlier.

Will post more between now and then I'm sure.

Northern Monkey. Baltic blue XS - Alpaca Leather - 18" HSE wheels.

Hello Everybody,

Having ordered a FL2 about a month ago and been told to expect an 8-10 week delay I received a call yesterday to say it was in and I can collect on Saturday. I've gone for a TD4 XS with privacy glass, DAB and body coloured wing mirror caps. I was too fussed about it when ordering (wifes choice) but getting quite excited now. Very Happy

Excellent site by the way and a great source of information Thumbs Up

England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Santorini Black

Hi everyone
Ordered my Santorini black HSE with privacy glass and DAB 10 days ago and my dealer has found me one on the production line that'll be ready in about 10 days. Got 9% off list which I was pleased with from my local dealer. Can't wait to get hold of it. Have been looking at this site for a while now - always seems to be something useful on here. Will be back posting when I've picked my new toy up no doubt. Very Happy
