New member changing from a P38 Range Rover

Hello all,
Have owned a P38 4.6HSE for six years and now feel it's time for a change. The Range Rover has been totally reliable for the last six years and the only problem is fuel consumption- 15mpg locally and 18mpg towing. I'm thinking of replacing it with a FL2 auto. I tow a caravan and have two dogs (and a wife and kid!).

What MPG are members getting from their cars?

Many thanks

Steve

Hi Steve and welcome

The FL2 is a great towcar, I have the SD4 and it really handles my van quite well. I get about 40mpg solo on a long run, 33-35mpg locally and about 30mpg towing. It's just me, the wife and the dog that has plenty of room in the back but I would imagine for a family with dogs it could be a bit of a push for room.

United States 2008 LR2 i6 SE Auto Tambora Flame
Hello!

Hello all,

Finally took the plunge and snatched a used Tambora Flame 2008 LR2 here in the USA. Wanted a LR since I was a kid and our next door neighbor had a Series type LR that seemed indestructible and capable of climbing anything short of true vertical walls. Love the truck and expect to use it to its potential here in the NE Georgia mountains! First thing on the agenda is a set of real AT type tires or is tyres in LR speak? Laughing I see good times coming with this rig.

Cheers,

Carlos

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Santorini Black
Hello Everybody

Hi All
Picking up an 09 Santorini black GSTD4e on Saturday.
Have been driving FL1 TD4 for the last two years and i love it.
The new one is a completely different animal.
Did the LR experience last year in a new FL2 and it blew my socks off both off and on road, so i had to have one.
Going to be a long week.
Paul

Hi All
Been lurking here for a few weeks reading, listening, looking ... watching
And
Bought one last week Very Happy
A MY11 TD4 Manual demo, registered in 2012, Fuji white of course (I like white cars, less washing ... and cheaper too), 100km on the clock.
Tried to get it dirty on the weekend but couldn't find any mud around Brisbane, have to look harder this weekend.
I'm now in the market for a towbar, seems like the HR ones are the way to go.
Keep up the great info ... I'm sure I'll be asking a few questions.
Thanks
