Wish they did, but they are not happy in dealing direct with the public.

After much trawling and questions, it looks like I have chosen the mover to be fitted and then looked in to side lift jacks only to find out they don't fit with AWD movers as the jacking points for the brackets are were the rear movers will be Confused

So need to look at other option, like a bottle or trolley jack, as someone suggested they could fit between it's wheels, so I can jack both wheels upand fit both Alko secure locks at once Smile Just going to buy the one (£195) and self fit the alarm myself as its half the price the dealers wants, for exactly the same alarm and I can also fit the awning light kit so I can switch the light on with the fob too Cool

Then I think I've decided on Gtechniq C1+ crystal lacquer as a outer body sealant, should last 10 times longer than supaguard and be cheaper too if I DIY it

1.5 ton will be plenty but with mine it was difficult to find a good jacking point with a Trolley Jack, in the end went with the Ko Jak Scissor, with the bonus of it also being suitable for the Freely.

I was aiming towards the kojack hydrolic jack, but the movers put an end to that idea Sad

Me too! Thumbs Up Although the jack adapters that bolt on to the chassis may also compromise your twin mover! Big Cry 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

I have a 2wd mover on my TA & it works fine, less weight & lot less unsightly than my AWD mover on one of my other TA's.
It can turn the van 180 in about 20 mins on 100 sq mtr pitch

I use an air bag to lift the van, just plug into the exhuast. Fold to nearly nothing and no weight.

Interesting thread but there is a lot of vanner tech speak which I do not understand......
OK, I know that an auto mover does what it says and avoids difficult moving via car and tow hitch but would someone please explain the bottle jack/airbag thing? Don't panic CG, only an academic interest, I will be in the 2 man tent squatting on your land...... Re the jack... Both ad and myself have a Kojack hydraulic scissor jack, marketed to lift caravans. Also good for lifting the Freely. The jack comes with special adapters that bolt on to the caravan chassis just behind the axle. This provides a sturdy jacking point for lifting the 'van. OG suggests an air bag system. This is an inflatable bag used to lift the 'van (or car) inflated by use of the car exhaust gases. Simples! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

JT, you may not be pitching on level ground, or on Nicks case with getting a TA, it will have locks inserted through two of the wheels on the nearside, they will need to be lined up to accept the locks, one wheel can be done quite easy but the second one will need jacking to rotate the wheel to fit the lock. Thumbs Up

That's the one problem with the Alko wheel locks! Can be a right pain to line up - and especially with a TA (Twin Axle) Hence the need to jack up. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

no problem with the mover lining it up, but now the mover is on both axles the rear mover blocks the points in the chassis to install the jacking points Evil or Very Mad

so i have only bought the one alko secure today, then bought the sergeant alarm and a cable to wire up the awning light, so the alarm key fob will blip in on and off

saving about £150 on dealer charges Very Happy so i loose my alko secure discount, but found out i still get my alarm discount with self install, and a discount for the ATC system

there will be a alko secure lock [insert 5] coming up for grabs soon, and a single axle reich mover too, pm me if anyone is interested Thumbs Up
