My point is that you cannot pay say 5.099 for something so why are they allowed to display fuel prices that way.
If they think they are conning us into believing it looks cheaper then they are are taking the ****.
Every other product is priced to the full p. Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

Hello all
We ( landrovers owners) that is, know that we don't get 60 mpg when we bought them, yes I agree fuel is expensive but there not much we can do about, so fill it up and drive as normal or sell it and buy something with more mpg, however I am sure that the driving pleasure of being the wheel of a landrover outweighs the cost of the fuel.

You only have one life live it

Sweden
The best I've got

... is 7.9 l / 100 km (about 35.7 MPG UK)
... but I am usually at 8,5 l/100 km - 33 MPG UK...
Big Cry

the 7.9 was during a trip from Copenhagen to Stockholm (about 700 km) and I was keeping the speed with the cruise control most of the times. 120-130 km per hour - average 110 km per hour.

I agree with above, the 60 mpg is not available for us, but why not 40, that would be nice Wink It's never too late to learn something new...

MPG doesn't really bother me but on the return trip from Cornwall on Monday:

Topped up in Cornwall, 380 miles later after 70-80mph on A30, M5, M42, M1, M18 and M62 I had 166 miles left and just over a quarter of a tank showing.
546 miles range with an SD4 at an uneconomic speed, not bad Thumbs Up

my 06MY 45,000 on clock gets 42MPG@60 MPH on Motorway (CC used) and approx 35MPG on short trips.

If I reset the trip computer and try really hard I get a recorded 40MPG on short trips - not typical I know but it relieves the boredom....

I promised myself I could only keep my FL2 if I get more than 40mpg, and pleasd to say I usually get between 41 and 43 mpg on a 2007 manual 2.2 td4 (except during the last cold snap when it dropped to 38mpg). Key is smooth driving and keeping low (<1500rpm) revs...the diesel is far more 'torquey' than you expect and the anti stall is very effective. Rarely drive on motorways and so usually at speeds of around 50 to 60 mph
