My point is that you cannot pay say 5.099 for something so why are they allowed to display fuel prices that way.

Don't forget petrol used to be displayed as "price per gallon" until a gallon looked too expensive compared to the price of a litre 2002 Honda VFR800

driving a round trip of 74 miles including 10 miles city driving I am getting 41.5 mpg.

my 06MY 45,000 on clock gets 42MPG@60 MPH on Motorway (CC used) and approx 35MPG on short trips.

I promised myself I could only keep my FL2 if I get more than 40mpg, and pleasd to say I usually get between 41 and 43 mpg on a 2007 manual 2.2 td4 (except during the last cold snap when it dropped to 38mpg). Key is smooth driving and keeping low (<1500rpm) revs...the diesel is far more 'torquey' than you expect and the anti stall is very effective. Rarely drive on motorways and so usually at speeds of around 50 to 60 mph |

Ha Ha ....of course I meant where speed limit (many roads in Portsmouth are 20 mph zones nowadays) and safety allows. |
