England 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Stornoway Grey

Eagerly awaiting...

Hi All, Just put down a deposit on a nice tidy '09 reg FL2 S.... was looking at higher models but the condition of this S model won us over. Have to wait a few weeks to get the missis Cherished plates swapped over then I'll be the proud owner of my first 4x4.
Have only had current car 18 months but the lack of ability to drive in the snow and struggle to pull our caravan (BMW 3 series) have led me to your world, and if i'm honest - i'm really looking forward to it!

First plans are the retro fit sat nav from car audio express and an alloy wheel upgrade... more when I've done this.

p.s.... thanks for the info I've already gleamed from reading past posts... very useful!

Very Happy On a quest to tour the Caravan club sites of the country in my FL2... if only to find a younger CC member! :-/

Welcome to the site and well done for getting shot of that! Thumbs Up I've never understood the 3 Series; it's just like a real car, but not big enough to fit actual people inside it. Or luggage Rolling Eyes

You are going to love towing with this after the 3 Series and if you currently drive a 320d (most people seem to) you are going to love the 2.2 D in the Land Rover, it's so much better! More torquey, smoother and generally much less agricultural (ironically)

So, what's this with the average age of CC owners (I not a member, I'm just curious to learn more about somebody else's world)?

Thanks Tigger!

I'm sure you're right about the towing experience.... I sweated buckets out on the last trip with some of the hill climbs we faced Neutral

As for CC age.... To date I've seen no one younger than me and the missis (unless you watch Big fat gypsy wedding). When we bought the van I asked the sales guy "who's the youngest customer you've had?" without a blink or a breath he replied

.... "you"!

Hence to quest to find a younger shed dragger (that doesn't lay Tarmac)

I'm 31.... There has to be younger! Confused On a quest to tour the Caravan club sites of the country in my FL2... if only to find a younger CC member! :-/

Heated Windscreens and Electronic Toll road tags

This is my first post so hopefully I'll get it right.

I have a 2010 Freelander with a heated front screen - will this affect the operation of the French toll road tags. Some other forums suggest it may - the dark patches next to the rear view mirror are the recommended areas to place the tags but on my car, the heater wires still appear to be visible. Very Happy

Welcome to the site.

I use an electronic bridge tag on mine (across the Tamar Bridge, between Cornwall and England Wink ) and I put it right next to the darked out area behind the mirror and right where the heating wires are in they make no difference to the tag's effectiveness.

Scotland 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 Sport Auto Santorini Black

Hi all new to land rover got my self a freelander 2 limited edition sport and I am loving it sanatoria black with the black and white leather and SD4 engine with auto box had it nearly a year and so far no problems.
Like I said new to land rover was after an evouque but the waiting list was way too long, I was searching for a freelander forum for some time as they are the best way to find issues with the veichals so here I am.
