Thinking of changing interior lights and exterior side lights over to LED (especially the side lights as i have xenons which make them look very yellow!) I know this subject has come up before but could someone recommend a company to purchase from and what types i need to buy so that i dont cause problems to my FL2's electrics

I have LEDs from HIDS4U, they look much better but look very white and make the HID lamps look yellow, not sure if there are any that are a good match?

Work really well in the side lights and number plates !

You can get them a bit cheaper but I liked the crispness and the guarantee of that look in the pic!

 

If the standard LEDs look a bit 'too white' then you can try and find a 'warm white' option - not very common but they can be a good match for some HIDs and even the whiter halogens. Cheers,

These made a massive difference! Light is really crisp and looks fantastic !

Xenon HID lamps do not have a filament like a halogen bulb. Instead the light is created by an electrical discharge between two electrodes in an air tight tiny quartz capsule filled with xenon gas, mercury, and metal halide salts. This improves bulb durability as road vibrations can cause damage to coil lighting technologies. Xenon HID lamps produce a blue-white light that is safer given that it is close to natural daylight. The color temperature is approximately 4200K compared to 3200K for halogen. HID technology also produces increased light output. A 35W Xenon HID lamp will produce approximately double the light of a 55W halogen bulb.
Color Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin that indicates the hue of a specific type of light source. Many people believe the misconception that color temperature is a rating of the brightness of the bulb or HID conversion kit. This belief is completely false. The reality of the matter is that the higher the color temperature, the less useable light output you will obtain. A perfect example would be a black light. This light has a color temperature of approx 12,000k and has almost no usable light or lumen output.

looking good, can you take a pic in the dark, my leds look very blue compared to my HIDs (OE ones) I think you changed the HID lamps too and they look much better.

I checked compatibility using your link and it says they are incompatible with Freelander 2  10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

08 FL2 TD4 SE Manual in Rimini Red (Now Gone)

Will take a pic later I would say they are the same colour as the xenons.

I can confirm they are fully compatable

LED's from HIDS4U, and factory HID lamps shown, big difference, this was after 3 minutes with engine running, on initial turn on there is little between them colour wise.
