My FL2 has just been serviced. 60k/4th service done on age ( only just done 45k miles ). I wanted to continue the main dealer stamps in the book so got ringing around the 'local' dealers. None advertise as doing price match but I thought id give it a shot

FYI - Left mine on, inc led side lights all OK, but seem to think that it's +/- April when the new MOT law comes in for self levelling checks so will probably take them off for the day next year. |

Interesting point. It's my understanding (from my local independent MoT tester) that the the MoT inspection does not cover disc or pad thickness (wear). If it did, the MoT test would require the wheels to be removed, which it doesn't. So long as your vehicle passes the brake efficiency test on the rollong road, it doesn't matter how much wear you have on the discs or pads. Can some one confirm this? |

Although disc and pad inspection does not (yet) form part of the MOT, if the tester can see the pads and can see they are getting thin, you will get an "advisory" on the certificate. John

I watched as the mechanic changed my oil filter and he could not believe how many turns it took to get it off.So anyone trying to do their own beware.. |
