Maybe the DPF, regeneration will up the temperature to around 600 degrees centigrade. |

Take it for a run and if any of your wheels get very hot after a few miles then it could be binding brakes... You could also jack up the rears and give the wheels a spin and should be able to hear / feel if the drums are catching.

I would go to the dealer just to put your mind at rest, as CW said it could also be the brakes but your car is quite new. After a drive it would pay to feel for any excessive heat around the centre of the wheels or one wheel that is hotter than the others, don't risk burning your hands though, ask the wife to do it. |

I had a burning smell from my SD4 occassionally after it was a couple of months old, I put it down to the DPF, it must be that coz:-
