Nah, SD4 is much quicker, at 90mph the RRS would be about 200 yards behind as a rough guide looking at the specs etc, the hill is a fair old slog, if it is indeed, the hill I am thinking of

I have removed the DPF from my 2009 MY. A DPF-Emulator box has been installed in order to prevent the ECU sending the engine into the limp mode. Nevertheless the orange 'check-engine' light goes regularly on since the ECU misses the DPF-electronics. The good thing is that since DPF-removal and fitting 'black-box' the car can be driven normaly without a single time going into 'reduced engine performance'.

Sorry, Arrjo, for late reply. Enjoing snowbording in Austria currently No, I removed the DPF while living in Germany, half a year ago. Apart from replacing the DPF-part of the exhaust pipe, I bought a gadget produced by an Italian company that was installed with a view to preventing the car going into reduced engine performance. Although the 'check-engine' signal flares up regularly, now I can drive the car how I like it not fearing being stranded in the city wiht a car, which was supposed to 'cross the continents' The DPF on early Freelanders, espacially, wiht manual gearbox is real pain in the ass. Some folks maintain that this is a common problem but judging from the scale of this problem for FL2 I personally think that this is due to poor development work by JLR..
