Interesting I've never had a problem in the 7000 miles but also haven't been asked to come in for an update. Is it an official recall? |

as far as iam aware that if you have no problems with dpf from when you took del of the vehicle and the first service the up date will be done then when its in for the service i would just give the dealer a reminder . rainy-city

I think yours will be OK, I asked LPR to check this on mine before delivery and as yours was new from the factory about six weeks later I would be surprised if this was not done at the factory. Won't hurt to check though |

We have done 4500 since we have had it plus what was on it when we bought it from LPR and not a problem, whole vehicle is as sweet as a nut, sadly a service will be due in a couple of months |

Our 2007 FL2 has a DPF which gave a lot of problems last year (3rd year of life) and which resulted with a complete replacement system being fitted just before the warranty ran out. There is also a sensor that may become faulty and give wrong information about the DPF being full, but it seems in general DPF's are going to give a lot of problems because they dont work as they should (poor design?). If it was possible to choose - stay well away from them as they also reduce the BHP from 160 to 152. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

That was exactly my feeling after buying FL2 annoying DPF-Problems accompanied by limp mode cropped up: how it comes that a new car could not sustain a normal driving cycle without limiting my transportation possibilities with reduced engine performance.. If I am not mistaken before MY2011 the DPF was not mounted on cars for Britain, but now and this concerns SD4 as well, every FL2 (at least for European market) is equipped with sooth-filter since JLR has to comply with Euro 5 Norm. To keep it short, either JRL will finally sort out what they messed up with DPF or the FL2 drivers on the Island will have to learn, how driving a FL2 with DPF can solve your spare-time problems |

Mines 242876 registered March 11 so presumably its the early facelift models affected - how many SD4's to they churn out a day? |
