if you swing the car left and right - ie shifting the body weight of the vehicle from one side to the other - does the noise stop at all - if it does might be a wheel bearing (I had that!) TVLR quoted about £110-£150 to replace.

I havent tried swinging the car from left to right its under warranty so I'll just take it into startstone and say sort it out lol |

No carvan cg lol and cant see a wheel weight thats fallen off and even if it did would that make such a loud droaning sound! ? |

when the diff goes i would expect a whine from the rear if its a droning sound possible exhaust problem or propshaft rainy-city

naaa its been dry today! I swear its something like a wheel bearing, i just dont want to drive the bloody thing incase i damage any other parts! |

Over the last couple of weeks I thought mine was getting noisier, like a bearing was going. It just sounds like increased tyre noise at the moment and I can only really hear it on smooth roads. I was wondering if my diff has a bearing on its way out. Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

This is getting beyond a joke,how many diffs have we had go on here.It makes me really seriously think about getting rid of mine before problems like this kick in and i have only done 22k from new in jan08. |
