Ordered September 5, delivered January 24 some 4 weeks late. Was it worth the wait? Hell yeah. How good are these cars. Love it. Thanks to everyone who provided thoughts to my pre-delivery questions about paint protection, rust protection, leather protection, even found some interesting threads on extended warrantee. Final decision.....tinting, extended warrantee (2 yrs), bought some Autoglym for the leather protection to do myself, will get are carnuba wax and wash it once a fortnight. Saved $3.5k to what the dealer was recommending. I feel like I just got my licence again...all I want to do is drive  SD4 SE Orkney Grey

With a name like yours you should be able to go out and nick one. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

Welcome npikey, start up a new thread, chances are you'll get better replies. Basically it is an excellent car, comfortable, quiet, good interior, very torquey engine and much more reliable than the FL1. Downside could be clutch/DMF but I see you choose Auto, other than that just general niggly items like parking sensors, rear boot latch, door motors etc.

Well I did think about popping over to Derbyshire and looking for a 2007 blue one then ringing it but want a black one

The times finally come to upgrade our Freelander XEDI after nearly ten years of trouble free motoring . Hope the new one we get in March will be as good GS in Red and a few bits.

Just a quick hello,

We have recently purchased a freelander 2 so thought it would be a good idea to join this forum as i currently own a Mitsubishi L200 and i am a member of the L200forum site and it has been of great help over the years, the freelander is for my wife but i am hoping to also have a drive/play now and again!! be nice to drive a 4x4 that is less agricultural than my warrior!!

Anyways hope to take delivery of my Freelander in the next couple of hours........buying it from a friend today who is on his way to collect his new car and then deliver the freelander to me, he has owned it from new and its a 57reg Black GS ( i think!!)

Welcome! You have been lucky.....Black is by far the best colour!
