You are not alone, Chris. Just before Christmas I was working late. When I moved the car out of the yard, I backed into a steel gate post I knew was there - and the beeps told me too! Only damage to the rear bumper and my pride however. B r! Must get around to getting it fixed sometime..... 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Sorry mate. As it's a rental it will almost certainly be an insurance job. Sounds costly too!

Each is case is judged on its merits, the case was cited merely for its principle. I haven't read the entire case so I will ask my lecturer what the grounds for appeal were. It's a bit like citing Sym v Stretch 1936 2 All ER 1237 for the best definition of a defamation by Lord Atkin. In that case, the claim was defeated but it still stands as the definition. no court needed for that offence in CG land, summary execution at the road side. Sadly in order to stop the vanners the police have to overtake them first, not easy At work
