Annie, I have nothing but admiration for you!! It's not many ladies would get their hands dirty fitting mudflaps etc, certainly not my other half anyway!! Keep it up! I plan to order some 'flaps this week so will be having 'fun' fitting them very soon. 2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles.

I purchased a set of front and rear, the rear were a 5 minute job, the front took about half an hour ,your are right the instructions are not very clear. On hindsight I should not have purchased the fronts as they are not easy to fit they are over priced they dont do much and I can see them being ripped of in the snow

Thanks Reg. I don't mind getting my hands dirty if it turns out in the end. I lived on my own til i was 35 and got married and so had learned to do things myself rather than pay to get a man in ha.

I really wished i'd not started the fronts though until MartynB helped me  59 TD4e XS in galway green

I need to fit a set myself Annie, last year the caravan front was a complete mess with the muck created. The rears are more important to me but I'll wait until the better weather before scrambling around fitting the fronts.

I'm thinking of getting one of those front end covers for the 'van Dave, even with mudflaps it's front attracts dirt

I have looked at those Nick, and to be honest it was the only 'good' reason I looked towards mud flaps but as you point out, a cover will keep it as 'new/clean' for the journey. Same price as a set of 'flaps' as well.

Nooooooo NP, if anything looks sillier than one of the front covers I've yet to see it (wheels excluded) it only takes a couple of minutes to swill the front of the van when anything gets thrown up. They have only made a comeback over the last couple of years since Bailey made the Alutech and found the front panel dinted easily, until then they were a part of history, next you will be getting the Purpleline Aeroplus
Not sure if the front covers are actually legal as they cover the front marker lights .

The marker light thing is the reason I haven't got one yet,

The front of my van went dull and I spent a day polishing it and then sealing it after and whilst doing so I did notice quite a few tiny stone chips so I think they can only be a good thing

Perhaps I'll try 'cling film' next trip out, peel off and bin it.
