Blackberry Torch 9810 & FL2 Bluetooth

Hi There

Have just upgraded to this phone and wondered if anyone has successfully connected it to bluetooth in FL2.
Until my SIM is working I won't be able to try it out myself - that's another story.
I previously had Blackberry Bold that linked up fine. I was worried as the Torch is a very recent phone, made after my Dec 2010 FL2...... What do I know....I'm only an Essex girl

Fantastic thank you very much ad210358

I will persevere with it when the time comes to connect. Landrover's handset compatability page is down or has moved....so I couldn't do a check there. What do I know....I'm only an Essex girl

My local main dealer claims there have been no software updates for phones so I believe you just have to try a phone and see what happens. However, whatever was done at last year's service (different dealer) gave me a lot more choice of phone compatibility. Just to see if there are different lists, I entered my 07 SE VIN and also that of an MY11 and found they both produced the same list of phones. I guess it just gets updated as more phones are tested by LR. One of my newer phones will not transfer the phone book but if you send a 'business card' by bluetooth to the LR2, it keeps it in the car memory. There appears to be a way round most things!

Successfully linked the phone and car today - so a happy bunny. Am wondering if they will remember each other next time i start the engine though. As they didnt today & I had to redo the link up. All contacts transferred too. What do I know....I'm only an Essex girl

Only problem I've had with the my11 models and the BB Torch is a lot of people comment that they cannot here you to well, they say you sound a long way from the microphone, did mention this to the dealer at service time, their answer was turn the volume down on the handset Confused haven't tried it yet so I cannot comment on that but not convinced that it is the answer.

Update:

It seems to be that if you are on the Hands Free and the person you are calling complains that you sound quiet or a long way from the microphone, turning down the volume on your phone seems to solve this. Thumbs Up

Sorry to hear that Davie T. I have to say that mine has worked flawlessly since.

Car has just been serviced (on Friday)and I had to select my phone from the list of one the catr displayed, but i presume that was due to some sort of a reset during the service and it's been fine again since. What do I know....I'm only an Essex girl

hi i have got a bold 9800.

i could not connect it to my 2007 HSE. i ended up having the bluetooth software updated at my local landrover dealership.

The cost is normally 1.5 hours labour. not cheap.

dealership did tell me most blackberry's do from time to time lose connection with the car. which i can safely say my blackberry does.

My current Bold 9900 pairs no problem & doesn't drop the connection. Car is 08'MY HSE

Same with my older Bold 9000, no issues there either, never a problem to auto connect, or dropping the link.
