"Door open" error message even though door is clos

After temperatures dropped below 0 a couple of days ago my Freelander 2 (2007) has started displaying a "front passenger door open" error message even though the door is closed. In consequence the car refuses to lock and lights stay on.

I suspect that it migh be a freeze problem with the sensor as this does not happen if I thaw the car in a garage for a couple of hours or temperature rises above 0. I had the car washed a couple of weeks ago and there might be som humidity in the door.

Anyone know a quick-fix for this problem?

Any help appreciated before I contact the dealer.

Thank's! I'll give that a try. Smile

Could you point me to the location of the sensor? Any tips on how to remove it?
