What's the joke about cheese? look the same to me...
Classic throttle has some very nice cars, nice site too.
Most things are pretty expensive over here, doesn't help with the GBP exchange rate so low...

Some nice sounding motors out there as there are a lot more V8s pottering around. Also noticed how most people don't speed. Not condoning speeding but it's fairly regular in UK. I don't mean 60 in a 30 but most people I know will drive 30+ in a 30 but not here. Phil

You are right Phil, most people abide by the limits, only one that was a problem was a chavved up accord with "P" plates on trying to outgun everyone on the way over to Bondi, some Lebonese in a C63 Merc saw him off ..... I think he was then shot Laughing

On my way back home now, be back soon though Razz

Had a long conversation re car detailing, they have no idea over here, Ferrari Dino in a strange purpley black colour, swirl marked to death, they have never heard of clay or sealant, wash and crappy old polish is all they get, on a car with a £150k price tag Rolling Eyes

I have heard of the clay, I have it at home (thought haven't used it yet). Razz

NSW is particularly well known for having a good number of speed cameras. It is in fact the only place I ever got a speeding fine, when I didn't slow down from 100km/h to 50km/h when going through a country town on the Pacific Highway! Sad

And, yes, bogans (or chavs as they seem to be referred to in the UK now) can often be seen trying to hoon anyone away from the lights. It is funny to watch them try and look cool, with their car pumping about a litre of engine oil out of the exhaust as they go! Real cool! Smile

Glad you guys all had/are having a good time over here. I didn't mind being a kid in Blackpool but this place is the better place to be. Thumbs Up 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

yes I'm in Sydney for the next 2 weeks and missing my Freelander, hope the Censored Thing starts when I get home after standing outside my house for 4 weeks, love the weather over here including the storms.

I'm not sure at what point this happens, but if the car hasn't been used for a few weeks, it goes into hibernation mode to save power.
If you can't open the doors with the fob, then you need to open it with the key via the passenger door. This then wakes the car up again.

I had this when I was away for 2 months.

Can't wait to get my car here. Hope it survives the journey, wonder if the battery will be ok after 2 months Neutral
If nothing else, it'll feel like a bit of home.

Anyone explain to me the number plate format here? do the letters/numbers mean anything and why there are so many styles around? Phil

There is no correlation between rego number and year of manufacture like in the UK. I don't think there is even a 'system'. 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

Do the plates stay with the car or the owner to put on their next car? As I seen what look like new cars with tatty old looking plates. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.
