Yesterday - as I approached a traffic light in 1st gear I took my foot off all pedals.

My reference to 'just like an automatic' just related to when you put it into drive with no brake on and it moves slowly.... My first car was an automatic - much prefer manuals - but lets not go there ![]() 2002 Toyota Celica 140 Silver (mid life crisis - again!) 2007 FL2 GS Manual Army Reconnaissance Green + freel2.com sticker ![]() 2004 Toyota Celica 140 Black - Gone 2000 Toyota Celica 140 Silver - Gone 1998 Toyota Celica ST Pearl Green - Gone 1996 Nissan Primera 1.6 - Gone 1994 Rover Montego 1.6 Auto - Gone |

simple explanation, every time he stalled he sent you all back in time then and repeated the manoeuvre with a few more revs on ![]() ![]() At home ![]() "I can't always believe facts I read on the web" - Charles Dickens winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race |

Last winter on slippery surfaces, i found the anti stall feature a pain at times and had to change down to contol the speed.

Must say I always thought the 'autopilot' was more of a feature rather than a problem. Used to do it on my original FL too.

I could understand 'creeping' at traffic lights or slow speed, but my concern is that is 'accelerated' yesterday from 30 to 35 MPH whilst no foot on 'gas' by itself.

If you came Ill I'm guess you crash before it came to a crawl especially in 5/6th gear speeds |

so if i understand this correctly when: a) you take your feet off the pedals and b) take your hands off the steering wheel the car/truck/FL2 will keep driving and turn you into the kerb ![]() That's good ![]() ![]() 2002 Toyota Celica 140 Silver (mid life crisis - again!) 2007 FL2 GS Manual Army Reconnaissance Green + freel2.com sticker ![]() 2004 Toyota Celica 140 Black - Gone 2000 Toyota Celica 140 Silver - Gone 1998 Toyota Celica ST Pearl Green - Gone 1996 Nissan Primera 1.6 - Gone 1994 Rover Montego 1.6 Auto - Gone |

If the car sped up from either you have a serious/dangerous fault or the gear you was in was to high for the conditions, ie your in 5th on tickover ![]() |

Tickover is around 900rpm, 5th or 6th gear at tickover equates to 30-35mph. It cannot 'crawl' at tickover in that gear, a driver should be in the appropriate gear for the speed they are travelling, a crawl in that gear equals a stalled car. ....... unless I have completely misunderstood ![]() |
