Interesting. Mine has nearly 6,000 miles on it and there's hardly any tyre wear on my Continentals.

I can't remember the last time that a set of tyres lasted for over 21,000 miles....

I would say around 20,000. Some may say different tho, depends how you drive and weather you have lots of roundabouts where you live?

If they are still legal after 21000 miles then you're doing pretty good, its a heavy car to throw around and 'edge wear' would normally be showing at that mileage.
Every car I've owned has always had centre tread but worn away on the outside, alignment OK just corners and roundabouts in abundance where I live and me going to fast around them. Very Happy

37000 miles and still legal on Michelins (2007 XS), 29000 on Pirelli (2010 HSE).

I generally swap them at 4mm and that is usually at 30,000 on the freelander, now I have sold the caravan it should be nearer to 35,000

Mine are getting thin with only 15300 miles on them. They are the original conti tyres. I think I will need a new set before winter if it is going to be anything like last years.

The original 18" Wranglers I had on my first Freelander 2 I'm confident they would have reached 40000 I sold it when it had 36000 on and the worst one was down to 3mm, Running on Continentals now and I can't see them getting to 25000 Sad

Just hit 95,000 and there is still a few thousand left on my second set of Wranglers (235s on 18 inch rims). The second set haven`t done as well as the first which ran to nearly 60,000.
This reflects the 60 mile daily commute I have on motorway and A roads, but I reckon it is still very, very good. Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

I seem to remember the first origanal ones going quite fast in about 2 summers and a spring. Think that amounts to about 20k miles. Winter tyres are still ok after 2nd season (estimate 15k miles), should be fine for at least 1 more season, maybe 2 targetting 30k miles, New summers ok for past 15k miles, think they'll be doing 30k plus.

So I think I'll be doing about 30k miles (45k to 50k kms) on a set, both winters and summers.

PS I buy my tyres in germany on a belgian website. A lot cheaper then if I bought them locally. Perfect service too. Delivered in only a few days if in stock (bought sunday evening, delivered tuesday morning). If there's a delivery issue you get choices; money back, diff tyre or wait (my brother had this issue, he recommended me the site). Only thing is, you need to find someone to put them on (My LR dealer has no problem with it).
Will be buying new tyres for my wife's car soon so hopefully will have the same experience again.

The website I order from is www.autobandenmarkt.be, apparently there are many other countries they deliver to (see bottom of site for flags).

I do want to add: I AM NOT A (RE)SELLER OR AFFILIATE TO THIS SITE, I JUST USED IT ONCE IN THE PAST WITH GREAT SATISFACTION.

32k's on Michelin Lattitude Tour HP.
Went to my local independent trye dealer as i'm thinking of changing.
They said Mich's last for ages once the initial wear has gone. Wouldn't be suprised if they lasted for another 32k! Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
