I've spent my day getting the Freelander ready for adventures. A mere 145 miles up to Bristol tonight and then, via Halewood for a few photos outside the Freelander factory visitor centre, then off to Cumbria for a week's adventures and Green Laning Then I'll definitely have some proper pictures to show you!

Wow, our holiday cottage has WiFi! I wasn't expecting that!!! It's 4 1/2 days old and just about to pass through 700 miles! We parked up outside the gatehouse at Halewood on the way past on Saturday, but security wouldn't let us take a photo We'll call by at the Experience Centre over the road on the way back and take a picture there.... Did out first green lane on Sunday There's a nature reserve at Haverigg and the green lane runs around it. The first section was a deeply potholed and rutted track which was great fun and then we found ourselves on the sea wall, only to find there was an MPV an LDV van and a huge motorhome already there! It seems that they can easily access it from the campsite from the other end! Off to find something a bit more challenging today... Yes, she has a name. But I don't think I can bring myself to say what name my wife and daughter have given her yet! I'll build up to that one.... Tigger. |

And another thing - one of the first things that I did was to remove those aerodynamic twiddly bits that hang down from the front bumper! Then I found that the handbook even recommends it if you're planning on going off road... |
