My first post about the Ipod Connectivity kit not working with the iPhone appears to be wrong.

Yes DJ I got that, but I still haven't got a clear idea of which iphone features work.

The iphone fits in the cradle but it isn't secured like an ipod is. I'll take some photos so you can see what I mean.

Hmmm, sounds like your system is faulty then !! I have the IPod connectivity in both the FL2 and RRS and use them daily with my Iphone. Ok, as mentioned the phone is not a good fit compared to the IPod, but it does work and I have all steering wheel connectivty etc etc. WRT calls, the song will stop and the bluetooth module will allow me to take the call through the PTI,no need for messy headsets etc. For me, the system is genius and does exactly what I want. The only thing I would add is the fact that pairing the phone for the 1st time takes some doing.....basically becuase the IPhone is v1.2 Bluetooth and the FL / RRS variants use 2.0....it will still work as it is backwards compatible (that says something to you about this advanced phone - it is crammed full of OLD technology that is plainly well packaged with a nice UI - genius move Mr Jobs). It took me 25 mins to get a firm connection, mainly due to the fact that the RRS was parked next door and was in "discover me" mode....so I kept getting conflicts. Any problems, drop me a PM. Full feature support for F and R of track listings, Bluetooth and phonebook sync!! RRS S/C HST - named Plantagenet Palliser **New addition** Freeloader 2 SE with all the toys Preferred Dealer: Lancaster Reading Disco3 - Gone Defender 90 TD - Gone FFRR Vogue - Gone BMW X5 4.4 - Gone LR Defender Tdi - Gone |
