On the UK price list "Bi-Xenons" are available for £695.00. (Presumably this is with the internally manually adjusted height settings). "Adaptable Bi-Xenons" are available (the ones that see around corners) for £1295.00. No mention of automatic height adjustment at all. If auto height adjustment is not available, as I suspect, but is a legal requirement over there, perhaps this is why a Belgium car had the Bi- Xenons "forgotten". Or am I just being cynical? Personally I have not found the (halogen) headlights to be lacking on my FL2, so perhaps you could give it a try (not easy at this time of year, I know) and then make a decision to upgrade if necessary. Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly! |

A look in the manual shows that Bi-Xenons do, indeed, have automatic levelling.

That's exactly why LR do not offer Xenon lights as a retro fitted option.

Paul, I have the HSE and due to timing of my FL1 dying on its arse had to take the showroom HSE with adaptive Xenons. Yes they give a blue cleaner light, compared to Halogen and yes you can see the beam change direction as you turn the wheel with the adaptive system, but was it really worth the money please do not expect me to answer that .....except for yes it is nice to tell your friends, but value for money, spend the extra on taking the wife away for a romantic weekend, you will enjoy it more......trust me, heated windscreen is more beneficial than Xenon headlights. |

Do you really believe I would let my wife go out all alone with the new Freelander the first day I got my new car ?
