You can buy a new carb for about£12 that sorts it out. Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well. |

Prior to my fix I tilted it up on its side, carb on high side and still got oil in my air filter and all over the mower deck

that's exactly what I do with my Mountfield Emblem, for the last 20 years !! I've recently replaced it ( not because it's broken, just for a bigger cut/machine ) and bought a 21" cut ALKO rotary. it's a beautiful big beast, 6.7hp 190cc Briggs and Stratton powerdrive and really well built. in fact after using it two or three times we were in B&Q yesterday and the Mountfield range is not in the same league as the ALKO. ( ALKO also make the chassis, etc for motorhomes/caravans, etc Iain Last edited by iain cooper on 8th May 2011 12:52 pm. Edited 1 time in total |

And honestly pinks, just get a new carb for your mower. They are only abou £12 makes them run really sweet. Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well. |
