for those who want to be abit more adventurous i found this on Disco3, but you would need to check if they are open and your car is suitable to drive over

The campsite looks good to me. I think its quite a good location. For those who do not fancy camping, you could try The Gatehouse - B&B http://www.visitcumbria.com/wc/gatehouse.htm We stayed there for a weekend while we climbed up Scafell Pike in Nov '08 and thought it was quite good. Not 5 star luxury but that was not our expectation. They served us a wonderful breakfast in the morning which I would recommend. |
