Had this on mine when new, it just needed adjusting on mine, has something got trapped between the rubber and the door as this will cause this to happen also.

The book unlocking on it's own was part of my faulty switch on the boot, once throughing the contents of my boot over the road behind me when I pulled away |

Its a common fault, water ingress into the boot release switch which shorts and activates the door, you will get it replaced under warranty, cheers iain |

I replaced my release switch for exactly the same problem. Switch had also frozen solid. Took 45 mins to replace with frozen fingers at -9! Discovery 3 SE

Is it like a electric latch then ? I rang my dealers today and told them and they are getting me a new latch. One thing with LR warranty - they dont mess you about trying to squirm out of it unlike some other manufacturers |
