Revs dropping at junctions...

Im sure there was a post about this issue, cant find cant remember the outcome??? Confused

When pulling up to a junction, it seems like the FL2 is going to cut out, the revs drop and struggles for a few seconds then builds back up to normal revs.
Does this pretty much all the time now, did have it in at the stealers yesterday, but hey ho, its still does it.
The guy at the stealers said they had adjusted the tickover, which you can tell as its running about 1000rpm.
Im sure someone mentioned a remap cured the issue, even though i moentioned this when they took the car!!!

Please help...... Very Happy Anyhoo off oot on me mobike.....

It has been covered but can't find the thread with my previous reply.
I had this many months ago and it was solved by an ECU firmware upgrade.
And your tickover (assuming diesel) should not be as high as 1000rpm. 700-750 is correct.
Back to the stealers, I'm afraid. Maybe a different one if your last ones couldn't sort it?

Is yours man/auto, mine does it too though not at every junction, my auto BMW once stalled(it was an auto) and that was an auto, they then changed some sort of a crank valve. But as long as the engine doesn't stall theres no prob. I think it's when you pull excessive power( like A/C and ABS) the ecu needs time to change the engine speed to give enough fuel to maintain the alternators need. Mine haven't stalled as to yet.

I've noticed that mine does it the odd time.

the revs will drop and then something seems to kick in and they come back up.

Mine has continued with this from day one (2 yrs old now).

Spoke to dealer re this recently and I'm told it's normal. Noit that I'm satisfied with that as it really does feel like it's going to stall at times.

It's not normal - another dealer fobbing-off line. Mine has never done it since the firmware was updated. Tell them to check that your ECU firmware is the latest version.
It's a manual by the way, and it would happen in neutral so not transmission related.

well been in three times now....

Still trying to stall at junctions, seems even worse now, happening more often, the dealer says the firmware has been
updated.
They could not find anything wrong with it, buts it going back in shortly once the have the new seat belts as they are wearing
away at the pillars.

Anyone else have any ideas, its not good, i cant remember it happening when i first had it, just something that has started happening in the last 6 months or so!

Anyone else any ideas???

Thanks again! Very Happy Anyhoo off oot on me mobike.....

Mine did it yesterday. It was -5 and i had it in GGS and had been getting the dsc light flashing, so I reckoned that was the cause? Indus Silver

I'd try a different dealer. I took mine into Copley and they sorted it first time - never done it since.

Just picked her up again from the dealers yesterday.

Got to the first set of lights and the revs dropped again......

Dealer stated unable to find issue....Do i live with it or try another dealer?

On the ther hand though, seat belts both sides swapped, and roof rails fitted which i think finish off the look nicely!

Thanks to Andrew @ Lookers for supplying them!! top stuff Very Happy Anyhoo off oot on me mobike.....

sounds to me like the MAF sensor, wont show up any error (DTC) codes but could cause these symptoms. 2007 '57' Freelander 2 XS Sumatra Black TD4 Automatic - Standard (for now!)
