Wipe your fingers or a tissue under both Reservoir connectors. Check for leaks.

I had that problem. I thought it was the inlet connector so I bought another one from a scrappy. on replacing it I realised the spring connector was slightly squashed out of a true circle thus allowing fluid to leak.

I just replaced it with a jubilee clip and solved that problem.

No there is not a "Stop Leak fluid" for steering systems - you need to find where the leak is and repair/replace the part.

Just follow the hoses as shown in the JLR workshop manual (free from this forum) and check for leaks as you go. Jules

cheers - everyday is a school day. Thumbs Up

I knew there was stuff for leaking coolant radiators - never used that either.

But the FL2 doesnt use ATF in its steering system.

Are these products compatible with the CHF202 used in the FL2 ? I doubt it.

From the Halfords site "Can be added to all conventional ATF fluids meeting Dexron II, III or VI, Ford, LHM or equivalent specification"
Doesnt mention CHF202. Jules

No it isn’t compatible with CHF202, I was just pointing out the fact that these products are available. Of course, there may be one that is compatible with CHF202, I just haven’t looked for one. Naturally these sort of products are only designed to stop leaky seals, by making them swell/soften, they won’t stop a pin holed/rusty pipe leak! (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto.
