Had new seat base fitted 5 weeks ago, no improvement it still goes down. Keep adjusting rear view mirror then remember it is seat again.
Going to see dealer next week. Will update on outcome if there is one.

Follow up on new seat base fitted May 09, started going down again last few weeks, was at Dealer on Friday.

Censored Diagnosed it as "PILOT ERROR you are sitting on lever when getting out of car"

I have 900 mile trip to do this weekend and will pay very close attention to ensure seat is faulty(have no doubt about it) before I return to dealer. Same service manager repaired!!!!!! detached headcloth at tailgate by thumping it into place, it lasted 5 minutes.

Phoned Guy Salmon, booked it in for wednesday just gone, went shopping, loitered around sheffield city centre for 3 hours.

Went back and nothing had been done to it, the guy had just emailed land rover, and awaiting a reply, told me he would call back on thursday once he heard back from them, sat here at 17:52 friday afternoon, and still no call.

No idea what the next plan of action is...if there is one! Anyhoo off oot on me mobike.....

Had mine replaced on Friday. Manual one not electric, so I reckon they've got a new design.
Will see how it goes. Indus Silver

well.......

Im still awaiting a call after a few weeks, got a call last week to say they were awaiting some info back from land rover.

In the meantime, I am going to call up again this morning as the new base that was fitted is going down a lot quicker than the old one!

I know another guy on this site (brian) has had his replaced by land rover for an electric one.

Off to call them now....... Anyhoo off oot on me mobike.....

Yes I have had my new electric seat for three days now it really is a big improvement it never moves and at last I am starting to feel comfortable in a seat position that I have chosen.
In my opinion I would not have got this far if I had not called LR customer services one of their customer service girls was the instigator and she kept pushing both the dealer and their technical people for a solution which in the end was an electric seat. If I was you I would give them a ring Fuji White GS 12 privacy glass leather retrim

Spoke with the dealers, who said they would call back......still waiting for the call back!

So as above post by Brian, I called LR customer services and spoke to a lass who took my details and would speak with her technical people and the dealers and would call back on Monday.....

Maybe the electric seat is the only way to go........ Exclamation Anyhoo off oot on me mobike.....

just had a call from land rover!
They are asking me to take the car to the dealers to have my picture taken sat in the car, as land rover will not release the new electric seat without it........very strange?

Is this a wind up!!!!

Oh well i will take it myself instead of driving to the dealers for them to take it!

Getting a bit bored of this now!!! Anyhoo off oot on me mobike.....

Maybe they are just checking that you arent so huge you are exceeding the normal working parameters of the seat? Send us a photo is less direct than how much do you weigh!

that's the weirdest request ever Thumbs Up

if you took the car in to the dealers with brakes failing, would they want a movie of it before they did anything...... I think not

When i videoed my old cars temp gauge shooting up and down, they said that was irrelavant as they couldn't diagnose a fault from a movie ...... so hows a picture going to help with a seat Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I also had to allow the dealer to take a photo of me sitting in the car before they decided that an electric seat was the answer still do not know why this was Fuji White GS 12 privacy glass leather retrim
