FL2 osf driveshaft.

Hi , I need to fit an osf driveshaft on my 2007 manual , I think I understood an earlier post to say the PTU doesn't need to be drained ? in which case can I just angle the car down on the ns and not lose any oil anywhere ? Any info at all gratefully received .

No you don't need to drain the PTU . On mine there was no spillage of the PTU fluid. I used two thin chisels to release the halfshalf from the PTU. Gentle tapping does it

Many thanks , no leakage at all with shaft removed successfully , unfortunately the couriers didn't deliver the replacement so I can't say that the whole job has been completed but I'm sure it soon will be , when the courier deigns to arrive !
