Come on Stc, are you really saying a CR2032 could be rechargeable! (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

Your are entirely correct. The cheap as chips CR2032 replaceable button cell in the key fob is not rechargeable. They do last a very long time though. |

Thank you, that’s what I thought but read an old post on here which suggested otherwise. Interestingly I only replaced batteries in Sept 2020 although I do only ever use the one fob, perhaps have to alternate with the spare.

Have a look at these older fobs but with replaceable battery.

If you need a new cover because the rubber has deteriorated. The part number is LR078922 bought a few of them for my car & sister's Evoque.
