I have been using the Osram Cool Blue Intense next gen for a while now and they seem to last about a year. They claim to be +100% rather than the +150% of the Osrams you have just used

Looks like another ideal candidate for an HID conversion kit? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

That happened to me a couple of years ago driving along unlit country lanes. Limped home on fog lights and like Bobupandown fitted HiD conversion kit which is the best investment made on the car. Night driving is almost a pleasure

I was given some of these a couple of years back and have to say they are quite an improvement over OE fitment. Not expensive either. Obviously they cant compare to Hid but they have been on my car for over 2 years now and are still fine.

when i attend breakdowns for loss of both dipped beams,it usually because the bulbs fitted are so stupidly bright/blinding,that when one blows the average driver doesn"t even realise untill the other one blows. |

Not to forget if you want a light twice as bright, it is an inverse square law. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

They are really good value if they last several years. Jules |

It really is the best modification I've made to the car, modern crisp white light that seems to give at least double the light output over standard halogens. Causes no dazzle to other motorists and passes its mots without issue. For the price of 2 sets of nightbreaker bulbs, which will not last very long in a Freelander I'd really recommend them. (I think ABD/Stealth HID should be paying me commission) Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948 2014 Orkney grey Freelander SD4 GS. 2004 Zambezi silver Discovery 2 Td5 (Gone) 1963 Surf blue Morris Mini Minor Super de Luxe (my little toy) |

Thanks to Bobupndown, I have decided to spend £90 on ABD/Stealth HID.

So as I'm fed up of changing hb3 bulbs going to go for the stealth HID conversion by ABD . There's 4 options on their Website

I fitted the 35w kit and the difference over halogen is like night and day. The 35w x was not available when I fitted mine otherwise I would have gone for it. You might be pushing the envelope with the 55w option but others might know better. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

When I bought mine I was concerned that it might not be as good as their claims with regards to dazzling other road users. With that in mind I just went for the 35w kit at £69.99.
