I don't do a lot of night driving these days so I would estimate about 2000 miles of night use.
Both bulbs blew together so first thought fuse or relay. Good job I checked the bulbs 1st.
Anyone had a good experience with this type of bulb?
Says on the box you get 50% of life compared to a standard bulb.
I have to say you do get a far better light, but I don't want to spend over £60,

I have been using the Osram Cool Blue Intense next gen for a while now and they seem to last about a year. They claim to be +100% rather than the +150% of the Osrams you have just used

I got fed up a long time ago replacing bulbs every couple of months so went back to something less "hot". I would say though that the light is still not great but maybe a reasonable compromise. I always carry a minimum of two spares with me at all times.

That happened to me a couple of years ago driving along unlit country lanes. Limped home on fog lights and like Bobupandown fitted HiD conversion kit which is the best investment made on the car. Night driving is almost a pleasure
Passed 3 MOT's without problem since fitting. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

I was given some of these a couple of years back and have to say they are quite an improvement over OE fitment. Not expensive either. Obviously they cant compare to Hid but they have been on my car for over 2 years now and are still fine.

Thanks to Bobupndown, I have decided to spend £90 on ABD/Stealth HID.
When it comes to safety issues I have always bought good tyres ect. so I think £90 will be well spent.

So as I'm fed up of changing hb3 bulbs going to go for the stealth HID conversion by ABD . There's 4 options on their Website

I fitted the 35w kit and the difference over halogen is like night and day. The 35w x was not available when I fitted mine otherwise I would have gone for it. When I bought mine I was concerned that it might not be as good as their claims with regards to dazzling other road users. With that in mind I just went for the 35w kit at £69.99.
I need not have worried because its perfect and the light output is brilliant. I can only assume the higher wattage kit puts out even more light? I'm more than happy with what the 35w kit puts out. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
