I once convinced someone that if you filled your bike inner tubes with milk as you cycled the churning action would turn the milk into cheese which as it was fairly solid would not leak if you got a puncture. He actually tried to put the milk in but couldn't find a way to do it.

Tubed tyres have not been used in car tyres for years. I guess you are over 65. Bicycles have tubes, and yes I have had lots of bicycle tyre punctures. |

I remember crossply, but I think my first car, Ford Escort Mk1 had radial tyres. |

Still a few years to go till I qualify for my pension! The FL2 is the 6th LR product I’ve owned and I have probably had a further dozen or so as my daily-driver “company car” over the years and it is the first out of all these to not have tubes! But, more seriously, without a never ending stock of old Land Rover inner tubes what do you use for gate hinges, tree ties, tap-washers and 101 other things where neither baler-twine or WD40 are the solution? 2005 D3 2.7 Auto Previously: 2010 MY FL2 TD4e GS - Now gone at 199,500 miles, about 135,000 of them mine. ‘93 Defender 110 200TDi CSW ‘87 Defender 90 4 cyl Petrol ‘83 110 CSW V8 - best ever!
