Who thought up the cartoon diagram? It does not tally with reports he came out of a private driveway, which is on the opposite side of the road from the 'B' road mentioned. That would put the sun in the wrong place for blinding. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own! |

Prince Philip Gets New Land Rover
Presumably the reporter means an exact replica 'of' rather than 'to' but where is this shiny new FL2 coming from? I can't imagine there is a stock of them just sitting around in storage waiting for the DoE to prang his car. Shiny new DS Sport HSE Lux perhaps? |

It was reported elsewhere that it was a Freelander that was used/kept at Balmoral. Even so that was a quick turnaround to get it to Sandringham especially as Philip isn`t going to be in a hurry to get behind the wheel again I would think! |

So not a 'New Land Rover' as the Metro headline proclaims... he'll just be using his other car for a while |

I know this road quite well and is typical in respect of most of the roads in, Norfolk. The roads are unmaintained and junctions are dangerous. The highways department, are a bunch of unaccountable people who have never driven more than a tractor. It seems the only thing they can focus on is speed. In our local black spot for accidents, they will not cut down 3 tree's to improve viability. But they waisted thousands of pounds on a slow down sign that never worked because it was solar powered and was in the middle of a forest. Then they waisted more money taking it away. |
