United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Indus Silver
New member looking for help. Ta

Hi, thanks for accepting me to the forum. I have a question to ask of the other users. I have a 2008 Freelander 2 HSE with a panoramic roof and i want to fit a roof rack. I don't have the roof rails and all the sites i've been on have stated that its not suitable for vehicles with the panoramic roof but i cant find out why this is. Is it a matter of structural strength of some other reason. The front sunroof opens but the rear one is fixed so I cant see any reason why they are not suitable. Can anyone assist?? Thanks in anticipation. Neil Mac

Thule racks make them to fit, as do Whispbar. But both are very expensive to buy new at around £200 for the bars, feet pack and FL2 specific mountings.

They usually come in two forms one for Panoramic roofs and one not - the difference will be the height above the roof line needed to still open the roof safely

That's what I thought may be the reason however the ones I've seen seem to sit quite high and I thought the sunroof would be able to fit under but I've obviously not tried this. Thanks for your reply anyway. Thumbs Up

I've had a set of the Wispbar SB17 roof rails on my 2007 HSE for the past 2 years with no issues.

Got them from here https://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel...VVwJKTB5y3

Other suppliers are available! Thumbs Up

Expensive? Trying buying them for a Full Fat!! Big Cry

Total cost? Around £1,250.00 and yet no where near as good as the Thule stuff for the FL2... Shocked
