The fob charges as it is docked. You can pop the key out of the fob by pressing in the lugs at the end of the fob. You can then remove a portion of your door handle cover to reveal a key hole to open the door. Then just place the fob in the ignition and go for a drive.

See HERE. One word of warning, when I first had to use the key to open the doors it required a considerable amount of force (clockwise direction) on the key to open the door. Once opened and the key docked everything was back to normal.

And be careful how you extract the key. The catch on one of mine was broken by the previous owner, with the result that the fob fell off the ring and I nearly lost it. I now have the two parts (fob and key) taped together. |

No, tend to think some small bit of plastic is broken. Why not cut some black insulating tape and carefully hold it in place with that? |

The car goes into hibernation after about 4 weeks to protect the battery, it's quite normal happened to me a couple of years ago and others on here have had the same issue, nothing to worry about better than a flat battery. |

Yes, but Steve has contributed to this forum since January, with helpful posts. A bit different to just posting once and never replying.
