If we display a nice new shiny piece of farm machinery then he'll just have to stop, get out and have a look at it, then you can pounce on him Whistle

Do I need to arrange for the Forestry Commission to have a tractor or two out and about to make somebody feel at home?

Bad news I'm afraid. Just found out that I won't be able to ge the time off that weekend to come up. Well.. bad news for me that is! Someone else will be pleased. I hadn't got the donation paid up yet wither so my place can go to someone else without too much hassle I think.

Apologies to flinty for the bother. 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue..

I'm not that familiar with the area Dave but the road I'm refering to is the Forest Toll road that goes from Kielder Castle to the A68.

Hope this helps.

Done. Thanks, and sorry again. Hopefully make the next one. Sadly I'm in the middle of moving jobs so don't get much vision ahead of what I am going to be working.

So when's the next Tong?! Laughing 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue..

Shows it on google maps as a small road, but then again you never know how accurate that map is.

Which route do you recommend, which way are you coming into it Question

what toll road?

Is there only one direction which we can come in from?

There are 3 routes into Kielder village:

1. C200 (marked on some maps as Border Forests Road) Western approach - this comes into the village from the Scottish side at Newcastleton
2. C200 Eastern Approach - this is the road most often used by the English on approach from the A69 at Hexham or Belligham
3. Forest Drive - this is a toll road which serves as a tourist attraction. It comes into the village from the A68 in the North. To find it follow the A68 from Otterburn in a westerly direction. You will come to a small settlement call Byrness. It is at about this point that the Forest Drive meets the A68. This shouldn't be considered an option as it is closed during the winter. I may be able to see if an exception can be arranged - but don't count on it. If you are in that area then there are alternative routes that either bring you into Belligham or straight onto the C200.

Hope that helps.
