That looks like a lot of rust for an 08, my 57 is mint underneath with barely any rust that I've noticed. |

I agree, the pics show an exceptional amount of rust. Maybe it has been off-roaded regularly, or used to back a boat trailer in to water? Only dead fish go with the flow |

I suspect it may depend to some extent on where the car has lived for most of it's life, being anywhere near the coast will always take it's toll unless the underside has some extra protection. Let's face it the factory finish isn't really up to much. |

I ended up passing on it. Having done my fair share of welding on defender and discovery chassis' due to rust, I couldn't make myself feel comfortable about this. My initial thoughts were maybe it had been used to launch boats into the sea as the worst area seems to be the back, in particular around the towbar.

Hi starting on a 57 plate noticed rust around the rear turret area the passanger side being the worst. |
