A couple of dash speaker area questions

After looking on you tube on how to take of dash stuff mine did not come off as easy as the video did. the top part where the centre speaker is and as a result a metal spring clip has shot of into the deepest darkest part of the dash area and no doubt never to be seen again. Any one have a part number for these clips. I can't find anything like it on the bay.
My other question when taking off the speaker cover it had no speaker there but wiring it there for it would it be ok to just plug one in. I thought all spec levels had the top centre speaker. Thanks for any replies. Marto GS Sd4 2012
