Not excusing your Haldex pump early failure but the Haldex pump is working all the time regardless of selecting a "special terrain response setting". Infact you will hear the pump priming the Haldex system before you even start the engine!

Had that on our 2012 Evoque in February which I believe has the same mechanics and electrics as the later FL2's. We'd just driven 200 miles to a holiday cottage, missed the turning, put it in reverse and got the same message as you. Lost drive completely. Tried 'D', same message and no drive. Switched off, started up again and all fine. Hasn't done it since and it's done about 3,000 miles and four months since it happened. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I was in Spain at the end of February this year when the error shown up on the dash board. It did several times each days for 2 days and each time I pressed OK button to clear the error; after 2 days the error stopped showing. I didn't see any "reduced traction" the car just seemed normal. When returned to UK I showed LR Team valley the photos of the fault and they replaced the haldex's pump under warranty. I was interested to know the job's details such as apart from the pump what did they replace? Did they have to replace the haldex oil and filter as well? I didn't receive any paperwork for the job. |
