Audio Aux Input

Hi,
Is there a way to move the existing audio aux socket from the center console to somewhere like the glove box, without having a wire running from the back?

I've had a quick scan of the forums but cant find anyone who has attempted it, so point me in the right direction if i've missed it!

Cheers guys.

You could drop the aux connector out of it's hole, then run you 3.5mm phono lead plugged into it from there to the glovebox, this is basically how autoaudio in London (sho CHPR use) did mine using a Kensington iPod kit, it uses a cigar lighter socket as power, but they appear to have picked up power somewhere in the dash which I haven't found yet

the hole left is filled with another aux connector which doesn't work Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Good thinking. I ran the 3.5mm cable from the glove box along the tunnel to the aux socket. May try their approach now Indus Silver

the aux plug connection is in two pieces

One piece slots in from the top, the second clips on from below locking it in position

Removing both the rear audio controls gives a little more room too Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
