Do what I do and stick a household mirror to the end garage wall positioned so you can see down the side of the car as you enter?? |

I have a block of wood to stop the car an exact distance. On the back wall of the garage I have a piece of sticky tape as a marker which I line up with the lower fold in the bonnet as I drive into the garage (why ferries or ships have a pole on the bow to aid navigation). When I drive in I get the car positioned within a few cm every time. Also have a metal pipe raised a bit off the garage floor on the left side as a last resort. So if the front tyre hits the pipe there is still clearance between the car and the wall. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Many years ago there used to be an old chap locally who drove but couldnt see too well, and he had two pieces of wood bolted down to the garage floor to form a channel the width of one car tyre so he could just drive straight in and the car found its own position guided by the wood, then he had enough room to get out of the car and knew it wouldnt be hitting the wall on the other side and he had an old mattress at the end on the wall to cushion the blow and stop him. |

I have a shelf at the back of my garage , from the shelf I have a length of stroll with a practise golf ball at the end of the string . The string hangs down to the grill . If the string moves I stop, behind the length of string I also have an old tyre , just in case. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |

I found putting all my tools and random boxes in the garage works better than squeezing in a car Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Years ago I used to just drive forwards until the pile of bikes and lawn mowers at the end of the garage started to move! |
