Parking sensor volume

Hi,

How do you (can you?) adjust the parking sensor volume?

I was concerned about this too, the only comment I can make after owning my vehicle for two months is that when the reverse alarm acitivates it mutes the radio, this is your first warning, then you 'tune' into the reverse alarm itself. Must admit I would prefer it to be a bit louder.

I asked my dealer today how you adjust the volume of the parking sensors and he didn't know.
He thought they were not loud enough as well.
Looks as if they can't be adjusted. Crying or Very sad

The reason I posted this question originally was that the dealer led me to believe it was adjustable. However, I must admit now it's coming up to a month since I got it I'm used to the volume and find it ok.

Is there any way to adjust the volume as the level is far to low, almost inadudible.

Hi Everyone,

I also think sensors are too quite, especially after I reversed it into a bloody wall Big Cry Big Cry Asked the dealer if they could increase the volume so it startled my grey brain cells into activity to apply the brake in future, but they said no they are factory set and cannot be increased - Censored .....just have to pray Bow down I hear them next time. Then to top it off, twice!! when I got it resprayed the dealer dropped the light lense onto the bumper and scratched it again, and when I eventually picked it up the dealer had reversed it into something themselves and there was a 6 inch dent in the tailgate Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry With that and the electric faults I think I am JINXED Twisted Evil Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Never mind the 'buy back' has happened and the replacement Stornaway Grey HSE with adaptive headlights, privacy glass, black side pipes, DVD rear screens, boot spoiler and side mouldings should be ready end of June. So there is light at the end of the tunnel!! Thumbs Up

FL2 has been back today and they have ordered a new unit for the rear parking sensor, tried another FL2 on Saturday and that was as would be expected. Also getting a new information display which is also faulty.

FL2 was also in for a starting problem where HDC problem flashes up, nothing found so told we where trying to start it to quickly after inserting the key??

Interesting, I'm sure that going through the sequence tooooooo quickly is what causes my problems ....

my rear parking sensor started sounding today when someone pulled up close behind me at the lights - I hadn't put it into reverse at all beforehand - should this happen ?

FL2's been in and had the new info screen done, much better!

The rear sensors can be adjusted but the delear didn't have the disk, on reciept they will ring and reset the volume. The 2 loan car's they have are the sme but the unregistered one was as expected, so must have sorted during the build.

Tash,

you realise we will all be queing up at the dealers now to have the volumes increased. We will look like 'bees round a honey pot'. I'm a bit cautious of any more dealer 'patches' though, my experience is they never have worked Exclamation

In my opinion the system works fine. Just be carefull with the button for the front parking sensors. If you Censored it down it also shuts down the system for the back ones!!!!! Dont' hit a wall there!!!
