I think I am going mad. I am trying to buy a new tailgate switch loom. Mine has two green connectors which fit into the back of the number plate lights as per Photo 1. I have now ordered this from two different suppliers and they have both sent me the one with hardwired bulbs shown in Photo 2 and are adamant that the part number is LR079909. In both cases their websites showed Photo 1.

Can someone help me to understand what is going on.

Its much easier to just cut the two wires coming from the switch, and join on the new switch.
Polarity doesn't matter, as it's only a circuit closed by the switch.
You don't need to dismantle the tailgate to change, just jam a screwdriver into the old one and prise it out.
I've done two in the past, worked perfectly.

I think? the loom in pic 1 is for vehicles fitted with a reverse camera...I think??? 2013 FL2 XS.
