On the same road some five and a half hours later a lorry overturns causing the same delays, lorry driver charged. All accidents are perceived to be caused by plonkers and possibly are. :lol my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I can see the day coming when a motorist or company with vehicles stuck in these hold ups, file for loss of earnings or time, especially if the crashed driver was found to be negligent and at fault. |

The bit I don't follow about accidents and the associated delay is that it often would take only a few minutes to clear debris enough to get traffic moving again (with the removal from the scene of big stuff later) - yet the police close the road for six hours to do "investigation". However the public never seem to get to hear the outcome of these investigations. I imagine a huge pile of reports gathering dust somewhere.

But in the same newspaper, two A55 closures caused by overturned trucks vs one caravan incident... Please learn how to drive. |

I have been delayed countless times by unnecessary road closures by the police - in a couple of instances where vehicles have run completely off the road and onto a field at the side of the motorway and thus causing no possible obstruction to anyone, yet the standard response is to close the whole carriageway.

At a guess, the offence would be that of driving without due care. Not unreasonable as the picture taker's attention must be diverted, albeit briefly, to use a handheld device.

I have been waiting for that too. If a driver is negligent he should be held to account. couple of times I have come close to missing a plane or ferry because some idiot can't drive. (yes I do give myself enough time). |

As long as the mankini isn't too short! How are the plans for hosting 'vans coming along? Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own! |
