The survey is a fairly immediate snapshot - 'DS is launched, who's going to buy one?' - but as people reach their normal car change window, the new engine or broader spec range becomes available or used vehicles hit the forecourts etc their votes may be quite different to right now.

Or could be waiting in the hope of a more acceptable spec, less seats, Ingenium under the bonnet. I don't understand the argument of on the original Freelander 2 of dropping a spare to save weight and get the emissions down and on the new one, carry more than twice the weight of a spare by having two extra seats as standard. Will wait till after the rush and see what changes come along, I'm in no rush.

Aren't you better test driving it when the new engines come on line? Rather than with the old engine, if it's the new engine your after Thumbs Up

I'm counting down the days now, my order will be locked soon goes into build on 13/3/15. Very happy with the spec, a bit more than I was intending to spend but happy none the less. Time will tell whether or not I should've waited for the new engine, I'm not sure if it will be as good as they say. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Thumbs Up I'm happy with DS and the old diesel whilst JLR iron out any problems using the publicly available test vehicle (Jaguar XE) first! Whistle Now:

First road tests are positive about the car and spec but negative about the old engine particularly economy. I will definitely wait for Ingenium and hope to se a DS around 22 Jan at Ripon Land Rover. My big questions are:
1) Petrol or Diesel?
2) Up-sepc'd SE Tech or HSE?
3) Do I really want to pay £600 for a colour other than white - could I live with white and either save the cash or spend it on something more functional?

Waiting for Autocar to do the full test - even got a 3-moth subscription for Christmas to make sure Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red

My suggestions to previous post:
Diesel
HSE Lux
Any colour bar white - it'll look like a police car otherwise!

Glad to be of service

Speaking to my local dealer today the Igneium engine in a 4WD DS won't be available until 2016. Only 2WD version has new engine later this year. Disco 4 HSE SDV6 Orkney Grey

Chris by the time you up spec an SE Tech you will be in HSE territory, so just as well with the HSE.

I've seen it in white and it didn't do anything for me. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Being happy with my FL2 and having just dropped a large wedge on a BMW F31, I am not considering a DS Sport at all. I am more likely to go for the Defender replacement in 3 or 4 years time. The very last thing I need is a Landover that is at the start of it's production cycle and is also longer than my L2. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

Surely the reason most buyers are going for HSE is because the SE spec is not good value. In FL2 launch SE was second highest spec, not the base model!

Ok, in time the range may add lower spec better value models, though its hard to see what they could sensibly leave out of the current SE spec and still have a saleable product (apart from 2 of the seats!) Life is not a dress rehearsal!
